Low-alloyed steel

Steel is called low-alloyed steel if the sum of the alloying elements is <5%. This has an increased strength/toughness and better weldability as result.

Cast steel with increased mechanical properties and good weldability:

  • G14NiCrMo10-6
  • G12MnMo7-4

Veredelingsgietstalen:

  • G10MnMoV-3
  • G25CrMo4
  • G34CrMo4
  • G42CrMo4
  • G50CrMo4
  • 40CrMnMo7
  • G30CrMoV6-4
  • G35CrMoV10-4

Cast steel used at reduced temperature:

  • G10Ni6

Creep resistant cast steel:

  • GP240GH
  • G20Mo5
  • G17CrMo5-5
  • G17CrMo9-10
  • GX23CrMoV12-1

Wear resistant cast steel:

  • G68CrNi7-3
  • TGS5 (H/HH)
  • TGS7(H/HH)

Cast steel for surface hardening:

  • G25CrMo4
  • G34CrMo4
  • G42CrMo4
  • G50CrMo4
  • 40CrMnMo7
  • G30CrMoV6-4
  • G35CrMoV10-4

Properties

  • Higher strength
  • and/or higher toughness
  • and/or higher weldability
  • and/or higher wearability
